Visit Die Winkel Op Paternoster, an interesting little shop (022 752 2632), crammed with all sorts of goodies from sweets to souvenirs. It is located at the four-way stop at the entrance to the village.
Across the road, there is Paternoster se Padstal – their mussels are “to die for”! You can sample them while you’re there.
We guarantee you will leave with a jar…or two…or three. The Padstal sells bokkoms – they are like biltong, but they’re made of fish…smelly but (some say) good.
Also, don’t miss the most sensational little stall, tucked away in the corner of the Fisherman’s Market. It is run by a fabulous guy called Courtney, who has sourced the most sensational goodies from all over the globe.
